Privacy Policy — Eden Social

Eden Social is a Christian social network for sharing testimonies, prayer requests, and interceding for one another. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what rights you have over it.
1. Data we collect
- Account: your name, profile photo, and email, obtained from Google or Apple when you sign in.
- Profile: your username, city, and country, provided by you during sign-up.
- Published content: the text of your posts (testimonies, prayer requests, verses, etc.), the categories you choose, and any photo you attach.
- Prayer activity: which posts you've prayed for ("Amen"), so we can let you undo it and show a live counter.
- Reports: when you report a post, we record that you made the report, to prevent duplicate reports.
We do not collect precise (GPS) location, and we do not read your contacts, messages, or other apps.
2. How we use this data
- To display your profile and posts to the community within the app.
- To show the prayer counter and who has prayed for a post.
- To prevent abuse: a user can only pray for or report a given post once.
- To automatically hide posts that receive many reports, pending review.
3. Where your data is stored
We use Firebase (Google Cloud) as our infrastructure: Firebase Authentication (sign-in), Cloud Firestore (database), and Firebase Storage (photos). Google acts as our data processor under Firebase's own data protection terms.
4. Sharing
We do not sell your data. We do not share your information with advertisers. Your name, username, photo, and posts are visible to other people within the app — that's the nature of a social network. The city and country you provide at sign-up are not shown publicly on your posts.
5. Your rights
- Edit: you can change your name, photo, city, and country at any time from your profile screen.
- Delete: you can permanently delete your account from Settings → Delete account. This removes your login and profile; posts you've already published remain visible to those who prayed for them, but are no longer tied to an active account.

6. Minimum age
Eden Social is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under that age.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this page as the app evolves. The date at the top always reflects the most recent version.
